Purpose of the Role
You will support the school’s finance team to ensure smooth, accurate financial operations that support teaching and student outcomes. The role focuses on:
- Maintaining strong financial processes
- Supporting budgeting and reporting
- Ensuring efficiency and compliance
- Promoting a professional administrative environment
Core Responsibilities
- Purchasing & Expenses
- Raise and manage purchase orders
- Process invoices and ensure approvals
- Handle credit card purchases in line with procedures
- Raise sales invoices
- Chase outstanding payments (aged debt)
- Count and record cash received
- Assist with banking
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Weekly payment runs
- Set up new suppliers and carry out checks
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Produce monthly budget reports
- Support financial decision-making
- Manage ParentPay system
- Administer free school meal vouchers
- Support stationery stock processes
- Monitor finance inboxes and respond to queries
- Work collaboratively with the wider team
- Support during staff absences
