My client is looking for an IT Technician to work at a School around the Bexhill-on-Sea area. This is a Part-time Permanent Position to start in September 2025, and it will be working 27.5 hours per week, Term-time only. You will be expected to work the following hours: 8am-1.30pm (Monday-Friday).

Salary: FTE Salary Β£24,027 – Β£24,790 (Pro-rata Exact salary- Β£15,993 –16,501).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide prioritised technical support and advice across the school including the creation and maintenance of accounts and user permissions, support in use and implementation of pupil learning platforms and other management and educational software.
  • To diagnose and resolve basic network, software and hardware faults (including peripherals), and perform basic maintenance repairs and upgrades.
  • To contribute to the work of the IT and business support teams under supervision, in the delivery of projects and support as required including ICT security and efficient use of resources.
  • To support new starters with IT set up, including enrolment onto courses and progress monitoring.
  • To administer and monitor basic Health and Safety and audit checks including electrical testing, warranties and licences.
  • Support the installation of computer hardware, networks operating systems, software, printers and other peripheral equipment according to manufacturer instructions or as advised by the schools IT support provider.
  • Resolve faults with IT equipment.
  • Support with stock control and ordering.
  • Support the Business Manager with regular asset checks of all school assets (IT and non-IT assets).
  • To support development and maintenance of the website for the Trust as required.
  • To support activities in relation to cyber security and monitoring including risk assessment and management of outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly, sometimes outside of normal core hours, in response to service demands as agreed with the manager.
  • Undertake available training opportunities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous development.
  • Perform such other tasks as may reasonably be required by the line manager or by the service manager.
