Lead and manage Management Information Systems (MIS) within an education establishment, ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient data processes. Provide timely management information to staff and external agencies, supporting funding maximisation and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management
Lead and manage the MIS team within an education establishment, ensuring high performance and accountability. Allocate workloads and resources to meet deadlines for reporting, audits, and data returns. Support staff development to maintain strong technical and funding knowledge. - Funding and Planning
Interpret and apply funding guidance (DfE, OfS, devolved authorities) to ensure compliance within an education establishment. Support curriculum and finance teams with funding forecasts and planning. Contribute to business and curriculum planning cycles. - Funding Allocations and Claims
Oversee funding allocations and ensure accurate, timely claims within an education establishment. Monitor income, reconcile funding, and identify risks or growth opportunities. Lead funding growth requests and manage devolved funding agreements. - Data Collections, Returns and Audits
Ensure accurate and timely completion of statutory returns (e.g., ILR, HESES) within an education establishment. Lead audit preparation and ensure compliance with funding requirements. Manage data collection schedules across departments. - Performance and Reporting
Develop dashboards and reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring within an education establishment. Produce performance tables aligned with KPIs. Analyse data trends to drive improvement. - Systems and Process Development
