Overall Responsibility
Assist the Exams Officer in the administration of all internal and external examinations, ensuring smooth operation, compliance with regulations, and the welfare of students.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support effective communication with exam boards, school staff, students, and parents, responding to queries and appeals efficiently and within deadlines.
- Assist in ensuring the school complies with national regulations and guidelines and adheres to the annual exams budget.
- Help publish and distribute exam timetables, procedures, and exam board information, including resolving timetable clashes.
- Assist with preparation and distribution of mock exam timetables, managing conflicts as needed.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and duties as required by the Exams Officer.
- Contribute to safeguarding and the promotion of students’ welfare and personal care according to child protection procedures.
Qualifications
- A Levels or equivalent
- Minimum GCSE in English
- Administrative experience
- Knowledge of spreadsheets
- Knowledge of Bromcom or willingness to learn
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Good oral and written communication skills, suitable for interacting with students, parents, staff, and governors
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
