Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Geography Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in the Walthamstow area.

This is a fulltime, temporary position, initially running from an immediate start until Friday 18th December 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

The school is looking for a dynamic and motivated teacher who can inspire students, maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and contribute positively to the wider Geography department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons at KS3 & GCSE.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide targeted support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Recent experience teaching Geography.
  • Recognised teaching qualification with QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching at KS3 and GCSE
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Availability to start immediately.
