We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands-on Caretaker/Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy school in Sedgley. This is a vital role within the school community, ensuring the site remains safe, secure, well-maintained, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. This position would suit someone with strong practical skills who takes pride in maintaining high standards and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily maintenance, security, and general operation of the school site.
- Carry out minor repairs and general DIY tasks; experience in painting and decorating is desirable but not essential.
- Ensure the school environment is clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.
- Liaise with external contractors and monitor work carried out on site.
- Support school events, including room set-ups and site logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and compliance checks.

- Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a similar role.
- Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations, including fire safety and Legionella compliance.
- Highly organised, reliable, and capable of working independently.

- Enhanced DBS check (essential).
