The Production Operative plays a crucial part in transforming bespoke design schematics into high-quality products. You will work closely with assembly engineers, technicians, and quality teams to build and test electronic control components and assist in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Assembly Operations Assemble and wire control panels, IO modules, cable looms, and remote units accurately and in line with technical drawings. Perform hand soldering, component fitting, fastening, and enclosure assembly. Test sub‑assemblies and perform bench tests on control systems, including functional verification with electronic test rigs. Inspect visual displays, wiring continuity, and interface assemblies to ensure quality and safety. Maintain accurate work records (e.g., serial numbers, batch logs). Identify and report any nonconformities or equipment defects; assist with root‑cause analysis. Participate in 5S, housekeeping, and lean‑manufacturing initiatives.
