Overview

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home). Reports to: Financial Controller. Role Summary: We are looking for an ambitious part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our finance team. This role offers hands-on experience in financial and regulatory reporting, while providing study support and mentoring to complete professional qualifications. You will play a key role in supporting the month-end and year-end processes, while gradually taking on more responsibility as you progress.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close processes: preparing journals, reconciliations, and management reports.
  • Take ownership of fixed asset registers and reconciliations.
  • Assist with analysis of accounts within the P&L.
  • Support in the preparation of tax analysis, VAT returns, and regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to year-end processes, liaising with auditors and supporting statutory accounts preparation.
  • Provide support on ad hoc financial projects, analysis, and process improvements.
  • Progressively take on more responsibility as exams and practical experience are completed.

Requirements

  • Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with ongoing exams (study support available).
  • Experience in accounting/finance, ideally in financial services or insurance.
  • Good technical knowledge of accounting principles and controls.
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting system preferable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Motivated to complete exams and progress into a fully qualified accountant role.
