Are you a Veterinary Nurse looking for a change of direction but would still love to utilise your skills? Or do you have experience assessing pet or health insurance claims? If yes, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a professional, customer-centric individual to join our friendly Claims team in Salisbury. As a Claims Assessor you will provide the highest standard of customer service whilst ensuring the assessment of claims is carried out in line with policy wording and claims outcomes are fair and appropriate for both the policy holder and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Building rapport with internal and external customers to establish excellent customer relations
  • Respond to all written and phone enquiries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Review and record all Pet claims to ensure these are within product standards and policy coverage in line with the policy wording
  • Determining if a vet practice has carried out the correct procedures and/or given out the correct medication
  • Assist the Claims Manager in ensuring targets and performance standards are consistently achieved in line with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring company service standards are always met
  • Liaise with customers, brokers, vet practices, and breeders to ensure that all information is gathered to settle claims accurately
  • To ensure the customer/broker experience they receive is a professional and efficient service as well as working with the Claims Manager to identify solutions for improvements and enhancing the customer service provision
  • Maintain high quality output and achieve SLA's and KPI's
  • Work with the Claims team to design and maintain strategies for fraud detection and continuous monitoring

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

  • Good systems knowledge, application and organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong team player
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and work in general
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience of working in a customer focussed environment
  • Experience of working to time-based targets
  • Ability to prioritise workload and organise time efficiently
  • A dynamic professional, who has the desire to work within the insurance industry who possess a passion for excellence and customer delivery
  • Experience in veterinary practice preferred
  • Experience in pet claims assessment is desirable
