The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the primary People & Culture partner for RWS Global’s production businesses, including Land, Sea, and Sports. Working across multiple countries and time zones, this role partners closely with business leaders to support a diverse workforce spanning corporate, operational, creative, and production talent, including salaried, hourly, and fixed‑term employees. This role partners closely with People Operations, who own core process execution and systems, allowing the HRBP to focus on advisory, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness work.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role. It balances employee relations, coaching, and day‑to‑day support with shaping the people strategy that enables Land, Sea, and Sports to scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnership
    • Build trusted relationships with leaders across the Land, Sea, and Sports businesses
    • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy
    • Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and team effectiveness
    • Translate business priorities into clear, practical people plans
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management
    • Partner with managers on performance concerns, investigations, and disciplinary processes
    • Apply policies consistently, fairly, and in compliance with local law across regions and employment types
    • Lead and support complex employee relations cases with strong documentation and judgment
    • Guide performance improvement processes in a structured, thoughtful way
  • Global HR Compliance & Risk
    • Ensure alignment with local employment law and regulatory requirements across all supported regions, employment types, and worker classifications
    • Identify compliance or execution gaps and flag risks proactively
    • Partner with People Operations to ensure policy and process design reflect legal and regional requirements
  • Talent & Organizational Effectiveness
    • Support talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning
    • Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and recommend solutions
    • Support career development and internal mobility across Land, Sea, and Sports
    • Contribute to initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and team health
  • Partnership with People Operations
    • Inform and shape core HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, policy execution) by providing field‑level insight from leaders and employees
    • Flag process gaps or friction points to People Operations for resolution
    • Support rollout of new systems and workflows by reinforcing adoption with leaders and teams
  • Change Management & Communication
    • Lead and support change management efforts across the production businesses, including restructures, team evolutions, and leadership transitions
    • Partner with leadership to communicate change clearly and effectively
    • Help shift the People function from reactive to proactive
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including prior HRBP, Generalist, or Employee Relations roles
  • Experience supporting multiple business units and geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience supporting diverse workforce populations, including salaried, hourly, and fixed‑term employees
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law; international experience is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations and performance management matters
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and partner with leaders at multiple levels
  • Comfort operating in a function with a dedicated People Operations team, with clear understanding of where advisory work ends and process ownership begins
