Salary / Rate: 60000 to 80000 per annum, bonus and other benefitsTHE ROLEA successful firm of quantity surveyors and project managers now seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager from a PQS background to join them in their Manchester office.
You will work on a good range of projects from small through to very large for new build, refurbishment, extensions and regeneration.
Projects include offices, hotels, data centres, science, residential, education etc. This role will offer good prospects for someone keen to move up within a firm of construction consultants.
You will work on all aspects of the PQS role doing pre and post contract work. THE COMPANYMy client is a medium sized firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services with offices in London, Manchester, Ireland and the EU.THE CANDIDATEYou will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or similar.
You are likely to be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS qualified). You should have broad based experience across a range of project sectors.
You will need experience of feasibility studies, cost estimating, cost planning, cash flow forecasting, contractual advice, value engineering, contractor selection, tender documentation, along with all post contract work including valuations, variations etc. My client is seeking someone who is working for a firm of PQS / construction consultants.
Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.
You should be able to run your own projects or work as part of a team on very high value projects.
