THE ROLE
My client, an established firm of PQS now seeks a QUANTITY SURVEYOR at Graduate / Assistant / Project Surveyor level ideally with some experience or an interest in the role of EMPLOYER’S AGENT role to join them in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area.
You will have the opportunity of working on a range of projects including residential and care homes for private and public sector clients.
You will be involved in all aspects of Cost Management doing both pre and post contract duties including overseeing cost management and budget control, dealing directly with clients and stakeholders, preparing reports and maintaining project documentation, ensuring compliance with contracts etc.

My client is a firm of PQS with a good range of clients and they are on various client frameworks.
They are a firm of construction consultants offering clients both cost management, employer’s agent and project management services.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK firm of PQS.
At Graduate or Assistant level you will ideally have a year or more experience of working for a UK firm of PQS doing both pre and post contract duties.
You will need to have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or similar and be keen to work towards becoming chartered with the RICS.
An interest in doing the Employer’s Agent role is required including contract administration.
You should first class communication skills, both written and spoken.
You will need to be a car owner and driver as some of the projects are not near to public transport.
You should have a stable work record.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.
Salary is in the region of £28000 to £50000 (depending on your level) plus car allowance, pension contribution plus RICS fees and two discretionary bonus’ per annum. Health insurance after a year.
