THE ROLE
My client is a firm of engineering consultants.
They are now seeking a GEOTECHNICAL / GEOENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER to join them in NORFOLK.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct site investigations and contaminated land assessments.
- Supervise junior engineers.
- Specify, operate and interpret geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations.
- Support graduate engineers.
- Travel within London, South East and Norfolk as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Environmental Science (or MSc on top of a Civil Engineering degree).
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in geotechnical site investigation and contaminated land assessments.
- Good knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation recommendations, soil/groundwater/ground gas risk assessments.
- Experience supervising and undertaking trial pits, boreholes and other field techniques.
- Full UK driving licence.
