Overview
Senior Structural Engineer position with a firm of engineering consultants based in South West London / Surrey borders.
The role involves design, structural analysis across a range of building materials, and contributing to technical drawings and specifications.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects and have an opportunity to mentor graduates and collaborate with Associates and Partners.
Responsibilities
- Provide design input for technical drawings, specifications and materials.
- Work on a range of projects for buildings using various materials.
- Take projects from RIBA Stage 3 through to completion.
- Use design software such as TSD and Tedds.
- Assist and mentor graduate engineers as part of the team.

The client is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy working on high-end residential, new-build offices, schools, and some healthcare projects.
They support staff pursuing chartered status with MICE or MIStruct E.
- The Candidate
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- A Chartered status or working towards Chartered status (MICE / MIStruct E).
- At least 3 years (or more) of experience as a Structural Engineer in the UK with a consulting firm.
- Experience using design software such as TSD and Tedds.
- Experience of working in a UK consulting engineering firm.
- Full, clean UK driving licence to enable access to remote sites.
- Experience of detailed design and structural analysis.
- Ability to work on structural design across the full range of materials.
- Experience of site inspections.
- Good communication skills to liaise with contractors, other consultants, and clients.
Salary will be negotiable according to experience, in the region of £40,000 to £70,000, plus pension and a range of benefits.
