THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a PRINCIPAL / ASSOCIATE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to join our client based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.
You will be involved in doing structural engineering design, organisation and team management etc. for a wide variety of project types including Hospitals, Commercial offices, Schools, Residential, Industrial, Waste Handling and Waste Recycling Plants, Prisons plus Decarbonisation for Hospital projects.
You will be responsible for overseeing the production of technical drawings, calculations and specifications plus you will collaborate with multi-discipline teams to develop integrated design solutions.
You will also mentor less experienced engineers, deal with clients etc.

Our client is a successful, growing firm of consulting engineers with a number of UK offices.
- THE CANDIDATE
- You will need to have experience of the following:-
You must have a BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
You will be Chartered or almost chartered.
You should have around ten years' experience as a Structural Engineer and have broad based structural design experience across a range of building structures.
You need to have gained experience of a variety of structural engineering software for structural analysis and design.
You must have excellent written and spoken English to be able to deal with clients and multi discipline consultants and contractors.
You should have good knowledge of U. K. codes and U. K. regulations.
You need to have spent several years working for a similar engineering consultants in the U. K. working on U. K. projects.
A full UK driving licence is required along with your own vehicle to enable you to attend meetings and get to sites, some of which may be fairly remote.
Salary is negotiable and there is an excellent package of company benefits.
