We are looking for an experienced and motivated Applications Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our Dynamics 365 Business Central delivery team, guiding our clients through end‑to‑end implementations. You will have the unique opportunity to shape our Business Central practice, with a particular focus on clients within the manufacturing sector. This role is based in Manchester. Hybrid working may be available for the right candidate. You must be UK‑based with the ability to travel for client workshops, project kick‑offs, and team meetings when needed.
Key Responsibilities- End‑to‑End Implementation: Leading and managing the full project lifecycle for Business Central implementations, from discovery and scoping through to configuration, data migration, training, and go‑live.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Applying your deep understanding of manufacturing processes to design and configure robust solutions in Business Central, covering areas such as production planning, bill of materials, capacity planning, and shop floor control.
- Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Conducting client workshops to analyse business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into effective functional designs and specifications.
- Configuration & Customisation: Prototyping, configuring, and testing Business Central to meet client‑specific needs, and effectively scoping any required customisations to extend the standard application’s functionality.
- Client Collaboration: Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, managing stakeholder expectations, and communicating effectively across diverse teams to ensure project success.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Training client key users and end‑users, empowering them to get the most out of their new system.
- Continuous Improvement: Providing constructive feedback and contributing to the enhancement of our internal implementation methodologies and best practices.
- Pre‑sales: The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in pre‑sales activities, including solution presentations, requirement analysis, and client engagement.
- Proven experience as a Functional Consultant implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or its predecessor, NAV.
- Demonstrable experience and deep functional knowledge of the Manufacturing module within D365 Business Central/NAV.
- A strong understanding of broader business application technology, particularly in Finance, Supply Chain Management and Warehousing.
- The ability to gather complex user requirements and translate them into a clear and practical solution design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- High levels of organisation and meticulous attention to detail.
- The resilience and confidence to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
