Job Summary

If you have a strong background in Electrical Engineering and Building Services, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Our client is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Mobile Electrical Engineer to join their facilities management team across the midlands. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building services across multiple sites, carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems. Call-out work is optional, with plenty of weekend overtime opportunities available for engineers looking to increase their earnings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical building services
  • Respond promptly and professionally to helpdesk requests, breakdowns, and emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards at all times
  • Liaise with site contacts and supervisors to maintain excellent levels of service
  • Support sustainability initiatives and energy-saving measures across sites
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used using CAFM/PDA technology
  • Provide detailed reports and updates on works delivered
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs and maintenance across multiple sites
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
  • Support the continuous improvement and reliability of building services across the portfolio

Requirements

  • Experience delivering hard M&E services in a mobile or multi-site role
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services and maintenance
  • Electrical trade-related qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Health & Safety training such as IOSH or equivalent would be desirable
  • Experience using CAFM systems would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of customer service
