Job Reference: 1401 Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Salary: £45,000 – £48,000 per annum Location: Farnborough Job Type: Technical & Engineering Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Job Summary We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join an established team of 9 engineers working across a multi-tenant, multi-site campus in Farnborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with a strong electrical background to undertake a combination of small electrical installation projects and electrical maintenance across a range of landlord services. Candidates from domestic, commercial or industrial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across the campus. Undertake small electrical installation works, modifications and upgrades. Carry out electrical fault-finding, repairs and remedial works across landlord services. Maintain electrical distribution systems, lighting, small power and associated electrical infrastructure. Support the maintenance of electrical services across multiple buildings and tenant environments.
Ensure all electrical works comply with current regulations, health & safety legislation and site procedures. Complete electrical inspection, testing and certification where required. Liaise with fellow engineers, contractors and site management to coordinate maintenance activities. Complete maintenance reports, compliance documentation and job records accurately. Participate in optional overtime and an optional call-out rota to support additional maintenance requirements.
Requirements
NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation. AM2 assessment and current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification desirable. Strong electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding experience. Candidates from domestic, commercial or industrial electrical backgrounds will be considered. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an established engineering team.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance, with no criminal convictions that would prevent clearance. Full right to work in the UK.
