Job Summary: We are hiring on behalf of our client for a skilled and dedicated Electrical Shift Technician to join a critical and prestigious site in the heart of Cambridge. This role involves working as part of a large on-site engineering team, delivering reactive and planned maintenance across a range of M&E systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-presented engineer with strong communication skills who is looking to develop their career on a high-profile contract, with access to ongoing training and upskilling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reactive maintenance across site electrical and M&E systems
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
- Working in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Maintaining accurate records and logbooks (including eLogbooks)
- Ensuring QHSE documentation is kept up to date
- Fault finding and repairs on electrical circuits
- Installation and repair of plant and electrical services
- Responding to callouts and emergency situations when required
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key client contacts
Requirements:
- Electrical City & Guilds / Level 3 (minimum)
- 18th Edition qualification
- Experience working to Planned Preventative Maintenance regimes
- Proven electrical installation experience
- Strong fault-finding capability
- Knowledge of other building services (advantageous)
- Understanding of lone working requirements
- Right to work in the UK
