Job Summary

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Lead Engineer to take full responsibility for a prestigious single-person site located in the heart of Piccadilly. Working within a high-end commercial office environment, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and compliance of the building, ensuring exceptional service delivery and a first-class experience for the client.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer looking to take ownership of a flagship site while working for a leading FM service provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the engineering operations on a prestigious single-person commercial office site.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance, health & safety requirements, and company procedures are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Manage subcontractors on-site, including overseeing specialist works, permits to work, and ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication, professionalism, and a proactive approach to service delivery.
  • Complete all maintenance records, compliance documentation, and reporting accurately using the company's CAFM system.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support the efficient operation of the building.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Lead Engineer or experienced Maintenance Engineer within a commercial building services environment.
  • Electrically qualified (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Multi-skilled with a strong understanding of mechanical building services.
  • Experience working within high-end commercial office environments.
  • Strong knowledge of building compliance, planned maintenance, and fault finding.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and client-facing skills.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
