TecRec are currently searching for an experienced Shift Leader to work on a brand-new 1-billion-pound development in Central London, this is to work for an engineering firm that design, build and maintain. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established maintenance provider who invest into people. This is a shift vacancy, working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Currently the shift runs from 7:00am-7:00pm & 10:00am-10:00pm. In January 2026 this will go to 24/7 shifts and days & nights from 7:00am-7:00pm & 7:00pm-7:00am.
The ideal candidate will come from a building services background and manage a shift team of 3 engineers. Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
- Completing building services tasks, including knowledge and user management of BMS monitoring/management, emergency lighting repairs, fire alarm systems, pumps, FCUs (service and repairs), AHUs, and all other HVAC plant.
- Having knowledge and understanding of ACOP L8 and carrying out water treatment tasks.
- Ensuring all reactive repairs are undertaken safely and within appropriate time scales.
- Maintaining a helpful and professional approach with direct contact with the client on a weekly basis.
