Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our clients engineering team in Northwest London. The ideal candidate will be a strong mechanical engineer with proven experience across HVAC systems and mechanical plant, rather than a plumbing-focused background. You will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers, supporting day-to-day maintenance activities and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard. The role will also involve liaising with management and client representatives, with occasional event and out-of-hours work paid at overtime rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Mechanical Engineers.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance.
- Work across HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
- Assist with fault finding and repairs.
- Support BMS/control system fault diagnosis.
- Ensure health & safety and engineering standards are maintained.
- Complete relevant records and documentation.
- Manage team activities, training and performance.
- Liaise effectively with management and client contacts.
- Support events and out-of-hours requirements when needed.
Requirements
- Strong Mechanical Engineering background.
- Extensive HVAC experience.
- Previous Supervisory/team leadership experience.
- Good understanding of mechanical plant and systems.
- BMS/control systems knowledge.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Health & safety focused.
- Comfortable working occasional events/out-of-hours.
