If you have a strong background in fire door inspections and compliance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Fire Door Inspector to join their team, covering sites across Scotland. You'll play a key role in ensuring fire doors meet current fire safety legislation and British Standards, helping clients maintain safe, compliant buildings across a range of commercial and residential properties.

You'll be responsible for carrying out detailed fire door inspections, identifying defects, producing accurate digital reports, and recommending remedial actions to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out detailed fire door inspections in accordance with current legislation and industry best practice.
  • Assess the condition and compliance of fire doors, frames and associated ironmongery.
  • Identify defects including damaged intumescent seals, faulty hinges, gaps, glazing issues and other non-compliant components.
  • Produce clear, accurate digital survey reports with supporting photographic evidence.
  • Recommend remedial actions to achieve compliance.
  • Work closely with project teams and clients to ensure inspections are completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent levels of professionalism and customer service while working on occupied sites.
  • Travel to sites across Scotland as required.
Requirements
  • Experience carrying out fire door inspections and surveys.
  • Good knowledge of BM TRADA preferred methods of maintenance for fire doors.
  • Ability to accurately identify defects and recommend appropriate remedial works.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Experience using compliance software such as Bolster or One Trace is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Right to work in the UK.
