We are looking for a Materials Project Engineer for our Automotive customer based in Surrey, UK. The role responsibilities include:
- Define material-related project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage material-related project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
- Support procurement with material and vendor evaluations.
- Experience of creating test plans and facilitating material tests.
- Create and maintain material specifications, standards, and qualification procedures.
Preferred 20% technical, 80% project management.
Technical skills:
- Strong understanding of composites (particularly carbon fibre).
- Knowledge of material testing standards and correlation to CAE.
- Knowledge of crash structures preferred.
Additional Info:
- Available onsite for 2 days a week.
- Inside IR35.
- 40 hours per week.
