We are seeking an experienced Senior NVH CAE Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of relevant automotive CAE experience in Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH).
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in OptiStruct as the primary solver, with extensive experience in automotive NVH analysis, structural dynamics, model correlation, and engineering problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NVH CAE activities across vehicle development programmes, from model preparation through analysis, post-processing, correlation, and reporting.
- Perform NVH analyses using OptiStruct, including modal, frequency response, harmonic, random response, and other relevant dynamic analyses.
- Investigate structural vibration, resonance, modal behaviour, and vibration transmission paths to identify root causes and recommend design improvements.
- Support CAE-to-test correlation, working with physical test data to validate and improve simulation models.
- Work closely with structural, body, chassis, powertrain, acoustic, and test engineering teams to achieve NVH performance targets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and contribute to the development of NVH CAE methodologies and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and present CAE findings and engineering recommendations to programme and engineering teams.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant automotive CAE/NVH experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with OptiStruct as the primary NVH CAE solver.
- Strong experience in ANSA for CAE pre‑processing and model preparation.
- Experience with META or HyperWorks for CAE post‑processing.
- Strong understanding of structural dynamics, modal analysis, frequency response, vibration modes, resonances, stiffness, damping, and dynamic behaviour.
- Proven experience in automotive NVH development and problem solving.
- Experience with CAE-to-test correlation and interpretation of experimental NVH data.
- Good understanding of vehicle, system and component level NVH.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate CAE results into practical engineering recommendations.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in vehicle body NVH, powertrain NVH, acoustic analysis, transfer path analysis, operational deflection shapes (ODS), experimental modal analysis, and CAE automation using Python or MATLAB would be advantageous.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a Senior NVH CAE Engineer with 8+ years of automotive experience who can independently lead complex NVH CAE activities and provide technical direction to the wider engineering team.
