I'm currently recruiting for an exciting Business Development Manager opportunity with Teconnex, a global manufacturer of engineered clamping and jointing solutions. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving profitable growth across the European Clamp Business by identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities while expanding existing strategic customer relationships.
Working closely with the Head of Sales, Engineering, Operations and Customer Service, the BDM will develop market opportunities across sectors including CV, NRMM, Automotive, strengthen customer relationships and ensure Teconnex is positioned as the preferred supplier of engineered clamping solutions.
You'll be responsible for a 50/50 split of:
- Winning new business
- Growing existing strategic "Clamp" accounts
We're keen to speak to commercially driven sales professionals with experience selling technical products into OEMs or Tier 1 manufacturers within industrial sectors. You'll likely have a background within business development in areas such as:
- Engineered components - ideally clamps or similar
- Metal fabrications and metal components
- Clamps, couplings or fastening systems
- Fluid handling
- Sealing technologies
- Exhaust or emissions systems
- Industrial assemblies
You'll be comfortable engaging with engineering, purchasing and senior leadership teams, managing complex sales cycles and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Location: Ideally based within commuting distance of Keighley (Yorkshire, North West or Midlands), with around two days per week at HQ and the remainder spent with customers or working from home. The role combines strategic business development with hands-on account management and requires frequent travel throughout Europe.
This is a customer facing role and as such will be primarily field-based, however to ensure good communication between all Departments your time will be split between customer visits and the manufacturing site and HQ in Teconnex, situated in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
