At Teconnex, our Keighley plant seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) ideally to work our late shift.
Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm | Friday 11:30am-5:30pm. However, we can flex to a rotation shift with both Monday to Thursday 05:30-14:00 and Fridays 05:30-11:30.
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our busy Maintenance & Engineering department within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with maintenance engineers, production operatives, production engineers, and management to maximise productivity and minimise downtime across plant and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support planned maintenance and maximise equipment uptime.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), shutdown work, and scheduled installations.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Support installation and improvement work on equipment such as presses, robots, conveyors, and bespoke machinery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Work safely and compliantly, following regulations, manuals, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Essential: GCSEs including English, Maths, and technical subjects.
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- City & Guilds (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Competent with tools and maintenance equipment.
- Confident using computers and operating systems.
- Knowledge of power presses / forming processes.
- PLC knowledge and ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
