At Teconnex we now seek to recruit a Production Engineering Manager.
This role is a key part of the UK leadership team, driving manufacturing excellence through world-class automation, lean manufacturing, and industrial engineering best practices.
Responsible to lead the UK Production Engineering team, ensuring that processes, equipment, and technology support the companys ambitions for safety, quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
The scope of responsibility includes the overall control of the Production Engineering processes, including ownership of current processes, Design of new innovative processes – and the machinery and tools required to enable Quality parts to be manufactured in a safe & efficient manner.
Driving Continuous Improvement at all levels of the Engineering functions as well as promoting innovations in our processes and technologies. Owning the Improvement Roadmap (Lean, Process Engineering / C.I. Safety, Quality & Efficiency) for the UK Keighley site.
Our product are mainly within the automotive and Aerospace industry so therefore is essential that the ideal candidate has background within specialism
About you
- An extensive background spent within production engineering, with a proven track record ofautomation, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence.
- Holds a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
- Solid leadership skills, ideally leading within a high-volume, complex, and quality-critical manufacturing environment (Tier 1 Automotive/Aerospace is preferred).
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), TPM, and industrial engineering best practices.
- Would be advantageous if you have implemented automation, including robotics, vision systems, and AI-driven process control?.
- Experience in manufacturing process review, improvement and change
- Capex and budget management experience is essential
- User of Auto cad / Solidworks
- Experience with IATF 16949 & AS9100 manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of pressing, rolling, forming, welding, and CNC machining
- Exposure to data-driven manufacturing and predictive analytics.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative.
