We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, global manufacturing business.

Working as part of a busy Engineering & Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, reducing downtime and supporting ongoing investment in machinery, automation and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of production machinery and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimise production downtime.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults across manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintaining presses, conveyors, robotics and bespoke automated machinery.
  • Supporting new machinery installations, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
  • Using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) to record and manage maintenance activities.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Working closely with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a practical, proactive engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Essential requirements:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing production machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
  • Good IT skills, ideally with experience using CMMS systems.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
