Teconnex Ltd is a global manufacturing business, with manufacturing plants worldwide. Our head office is based in Keighley, near Bradford, West Yorkshire. We specialise in the automotive and aerospace industries, manufacturing volume parts and providing engineered solutions to our global customer base.
We have created a new role for a Group Manufacturing Engineer, which is a key part of the Global Operations Team, driving manufacturing excellence through world-class automation, lean manufacturing, and industrial engineering best practices. This role will support the group manufacturing sites in the UK, Romania, India, and Mexico, ensuring that processes, equipment, and technology support the company’s ambitions for safety, quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
The scope of responsibility includes:
- Design and development of Production and Manufacturing Engineering processes
- Design of new innovative processes and the machinery and tools required to enable quality parts to be manufactured safely and efficiently
- Driving Continuous Improvement at all levels of the Engineering functions
- Promoting innovations in our processes and technologies
The Group Manufacturing Engineer will play a vital role in implementing the latest manufacturing innovations, digitalisation, and AI-driven process control to ensure Teconnex remains a leader in global operations.
About you:
- Holds a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) or equivalent experience
- A proven track record within a high-volume, complex, and quality-critical manufacturing environment (Tier 1 Automotive/Aerospace preferred)
- A background in production engineering, with a proven track record of automation, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and industrial engineering best practices
- Experience in implementing automation, including robotics, vision systems, and AI-driven process control
- Understanding and delivery in manufacturing process review, improvement, and change
- Project management experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks
- Flexible to travel regularly to other manufacturing sites
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate effectively and offer solution-driven results
