At Tecna, we’re expanding, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced Estimator to join work across our teams at our Farnborough headquarters. If you’re an ambitious, confident self-starter ready to be part of a growing creative company, this full-time, permanent position could be the perfect fit for you.
Your Input Will Be Essential To:
- Help determine and preserve project margins
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support the delivery of competitive proposals that align with both client expectations and business objectives
- Develop the list of Tecna approved suppliers
- Maintain relationships with preferred suppliers
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with sales and creative to provide quick, accurate costings and support ballpark pricing.
- Own and progress our quoting tools – especially the ballpark sheet – and help make the process leaner and easier for the whole team.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal production to gather up-to-date costs, understand lead times, and flag viable alternatives.
- Support margin reviews and collaborate with procurement and projects when quotes move towards ordering.
- Reference comparable previous jobs to provide benchmarks and identify efficient, proven approaches.
- Help ensure scopes of work are clear, and cost-informed.
