At Tecna UK, we’re expanding, and we’re on the lookout for talented Technical Designers to join our dynamic Projects team at our Farnborough headquarters. As a Technical Designer, you’ll collaborate closely with our Project Managers to bring stunning exhibition displays to life. Using designs from our Creative and Sales teams, you’ll produce 3D technical drawings, 2D schematics, and precision cut files that ensure flawless delivery of our unique displays.

The Role:
- Be a focal point of T3 knowledge within the Projects team (training provided)
- Be able to interpret 3D renders and briefs into T3 Framework (training provided)
- Produce accurate artwork templates to allow artworkers to produce print-ready artwork easily
- Produce accurate construction drawings to allow stands to be constructed effectively
- Produce 2D schematics and cut files if necessary for fabrication of custom elements and cutting of sheet materials
- Produce accurate parts lists
- Work closely with Project Managers ensuring deliverables are completed on time
- Work closely with the production department, supporting them with CAD drawings ready for production.
Experience and Skills:
- A history of working in 3D CAD, primarily SketchUp (not a strict requirement but very beneficial)
- Strong technical knowledge – focusing in construction and knowledge of substrates is an advantage.
- A history of draftsmanship / 2D CAD
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus
- An ability to use your own initiative
- An ability to work effectively under pressure
- Problem-solving skills
- High Attention to detail
- An ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Experience in the Exhibition industry is preferable but by no means essential as all training will be provided
