The Talent Manager plays a critical role in ensuring Tecknuovo can rapidly identify, engage and mobilise exceptional technical consultants to meet customer demand. Sitting within the Talent Hub, you will lead end-to-end contract recruitment across multiple technology disciplines, building strong talent pipelines and delivering outstanding recruitment outcomes at pace. This is a hands-on delivery role for an experienced technology contract recruiter who thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly. You'll work closely with Delivery, Client Partners and the wider business to understand customer requirements, proactively identify the right consultants and ensure projects are mobilised quickly and successfully. Success in this role is about more than filling vacancies. You'll build long-term relationships with consultants, develop an engaged consultant community, and help shape a high-performing Talent Hub that consistently delivers exceptional recruitment outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end contract recruitment across a range of technology disciplines, sourcing and securing high-quality consultants to meet customer demand.
  • Build, maintain and continually strengthen a high-quality network of technology consultants, ensuring talent is available ahead of future requirements.
  • Proactively source and engage passive candidates through a variety of recruitment channels, creating strong talent pipelines rather than relying solely on advertised roles.
  • Partner closely with Delivery, Client Partners and hiring stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritise recruitment activity and respond rapidly to changing customer needs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent recruitment campaigns, balancing pace, quality and commercial outcomes across competing priorities.
  • Conduct candidate screening, manage interview processes, negotiate day rates and offers, and oversee consultant mobilisation through to successful deployment.
  • Apply a strong understanding of contract recruitment, including consultant availability, notice periods, IR35 considerations, right to work requirements and mobilisation planning.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with consultants, ensuring they remain engaged with Tecknuovo throughout and beyond individual assignments.
  • Manage and develop our consultant alumni network, maintaining regular engagement with previous consultants and identifying opportunities for redeployment.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data and consultant records, ensuring our talent pools remain current, searchable and valuable.
  • Coach and support less experienced members of the Talent team, sharing knowledge, best practice and market insight to raise capability across the function.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Talent Hub processes, sourcing strategies and ways of working.

Who you are and how you'll make an impact

You’ll bring several years' experience in contract recruitment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality consultants into customer engagements within fast-paced environments. You understand the unique demands of contract recruitment and are comfortable balancing speed, quality and commercial outcomes while managing multiple live requirements. You have experience recruiting technology consultants and understand the full contract recruitment lifecycle, including proactive sourcing, consultant engagement, screening, day rate negotiation, IR35 awareness, mobilisation and relationship management. You enjoy building talent communities and maintaining long-term consultant relationships that create value beyond individual placements. You thrive in collaborative, delivery-focused environments, working closely with Delivery, Client Partners and other stakeholders to solve recruitment challenges and respond quickly to changing customer priorities. You are comfortable operating under pressure, remain organised when managing high volumes of activity, and take ownership of delivering exceptional outcomes. You're passionate about recruitment and genuinely enjoy connecting exceptional people with exciting opportunities. You build credibility quickly through your communication style, professionalism and ability to develop trusted relationships with both consultants and internal stakeholders. You’ll also bring experience coaching, mentoring or supporting others, helping to share knowledge, improve capability and contribute to a high-performing Talent team. You lead through your expertise, collaboration and willingness to continuously improve both your own performance and that of the wider team.

A day in the life

A typical day might begin by reviewing new customer requirements alongside the Delivery Hub and agreeing recruitment priorities for the day. You’ll quickly move into sourcing and engaging technology consultants, leveraging your network, proactively headhunting new talent and speaking with consultants about current and future opportunities. Throughout the day you’ll manage multiple live recruitment campaigns, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, negotiate rates and work closely with Delivery teams and Client Partners to ensure consultants can be mobilised quickly. You’ll balance urgent customer requirements with longer-term pipeline building, ensuring Tecknuovo always has access to exceptional talent. You’ll also spend time nurturing relationships across your consultant network, reconnecting with previous consultants, developing the alumni community and identifying opportunities for future deployments. Alongside your own recruitment delivery, you’ll coach colleagues, share market insight and contribute ideas that continually improve how the Talent Hub attracts, engages and mobilises world-class technology consultants.
