For this position, we are targeting students with a background in accounting (working towards a CPA) or a related field. Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate to the area for the entire co-op term and be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the program, with proof of enrollment required. If applicable, proof of a valid work permit is also necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead safety initiatives and adhere to safety and environmental protocols
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Perform ad hoc cost analyses for decision-making and cost-saving
  • Assist with month-end accruals for accurate financial reporting
  • Conduct PST tax reviews to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support accounts payable and ensure timely invoice processing
  • Compile and submit ESTMA reports as required by regulations
  • Assist with audits to ensure compliance and accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Financial acumen and support capabilities for the accounting department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365, IBM Maximo, or XERAS is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for the duration of the co-op

All students must complete pre-employment drug testing prior to starting work.
