In addition to competitive compensation, Teck co-ops receive benefits such as: Financial assistance for travel costs and co-op fees Development of technical skills and practical experience in mining operations Mentorship from experienced professionals Primary consideration for future employment opportunities upon graduation Responsibilities: Lead safety initiatives and adhere to safety and environmental protocols Support forecasting and budgeting processes Perform ad hoc cost analyses for decision-making and cost-saving Assist with month-end accruals for accurate financial reporting Conduct PST tax reviews to ensure regulatory compliance Support accounts payable and ensure timely invoice processing Compile and submit ESTMA reports as required by regulations Assist with audits to ensure compliance and accuracy Qualifications: Enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize under pressure Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Financial acumen and support capabilities for the accounting department Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365, IBM Maximo, or XERAS is a plus Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for the duration of the co-op All students must complete pre-employment drug testing prior to starting work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
