GCP Opportunity TechYard recruitment is working with a Google Consultancy who are looking to hire an experienced Google Cloud Analytics Practice Lead. They will own and scale our Analytics practice, setting the strategic vision for client data solutions built on the Google ecosystem. This pivotal role involves defining our go-to-market offering, leading client strategy engagements, ensuring delivery excellence across projects, mentoring a team of specialists, and driving pre-sales. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, commercially-minded analytics expert with hands-on experience across the Google Cloud and Google Marketing platforms (BigQuery, Looker, GA4, GMP). They must have a proven track record in client consulting, the ability to advise senior stakeholders and experience of building an analytics practice centered on marketing and customer data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Analytics practice, positioning them as a leader in AI-driven analytics solutions built on the Google Cloud, Marketing and AI ecosystem.
  • Own the commercial targets for the Analytics practice, driving a pipeline of new and organic revenue opportunities focused on high-value solutions like conversational analytics and advanced analytics.
  • Develop and implement tailored client strategies to expand our services, demonstrating how leveraging AI with their existing data can solve core challenges and drive proactive, data-driven decision making.
  • Act as the senior subject matter expert and strategic advisor during key client engagements, leading workshops to understand our client’s evolving business needs and translating them into tangible solutions.
  • Lead the development and review of all commercial proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) for the Analytics practice, ensuring project scope, deliverables, and resource costs are accurately defined.
  • Provide ultimate oversight and quality assurance for all analytics projects, ensuring solutions are delivered by the team on time, on budget, and to the highest possible specification.
  • Own and maintain a detailed revenue forecast for the Analytics practice, providing regular updates to the senior leadership team to guide strategic decision-making and resource planning.
  • Build and sustain strategic, high-level partnerships with key Analytics stakeholders at Google (Cloud and Marketing teams) and within senior client organisations.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years proven track record in a senior consulting role (e.g., Principal Consultant, Practice Lead) within a marketing technology or cloud data consultancy, with a history of meeting or exceeding commercial targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in pre-sales, owning a P&L or revenue target, and developing SOWs/commercial proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining go-to-market strategies, winning new business, and achieving organic growth within existing accounts.
  • Demonstrable, hands-on expertise across the Google Cloud and Marketing Platform ecosystems, including BigQuery, Looker, GA4, and GMP.
  • Proven experience with AI and predictive analytics on the Google stack (e.g. using BigQuery ML or Vertex AI) to solve marketing and customer data challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to act as a senior advisor to C-level stakeholders and present complex technical concepts as clear business value.
  • Relevant Google Cloud & Google Marketing certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and creative problem-solving skills, capable of designing and delivering actionable insights and differentiated solutions.
