My client is a Google Platform Partner specialising in strategy and development of client solutions across GMP, GCP and Google AI. Certified as a Google Cloud and Google Marketing Partner, our teams provide cutting edge data and AI services that automate workflows, augment teams and drive innovation. The Activation Consultant is a subject matter expert focused on the strategic intersection of paid media, first-party data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is a billable, client-facing role responsible for developing and executing Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies that realise tangible business value through the Google ecosystem.
Unlike traditional trading roles, you will act as a consultative architect, designing how clients can move beyond simple data collection to data connection and AI-driven activation. You will be responsible for identifying revenue-growth opportunities by implementing advanced use cases like value-based bidding, predictive audiences, and server-side tagging.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic GTM & Value Realisation: Develop and lead GTM strategies that focus on realising value through paid media by leveraging first-party data and AI-driven workflows. Translate complex advertiser data landscapes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd party) into actionable business and marketing objectives, ensuring data strategies directly support overarching client growth goals. Identify and define marketing use cases that address client challenges using GA4, BigQuery, and GMP technologies (DV360, SA360). Evangelise 'Privacy by Design' strategies, helping clients transition from third-party reliance to unified first-party customer profiles.
- Consultancy & Revenue Growth: Act as a billable subject matter expert, providing direct consultancy to clients on digital maturity and tech implementation roadmaps. Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities for license reselling and advanced service deployments (e.g., custom algorithms, DCO). Lead pre-sales and discovery workshops to interrogate client data landscapes and architect complex technological solutions.
- AI & Data Activation: Implement AI-driven enrichment to enhance performance, such as using predictive analysis for sales projection and audience lookalike modelling. Architect data-to-goal frameworks that utilise multi-source data (e.g., CRM, partner data, and market signals) to define and achieve high-level KPIs like Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) and market share expansion. Stay abreast of Google’s AI product roadmap to ensure clients have access to market-leading automation and bidding solutions.
- Expertise in GMP: Extensive hands-on experience and current certifications in DV360, SA360, GA4, and Google Tag Manager.
- Data & AI Literacy: Proven ability to use first-party data for audience activation and a deep understanding of how AI/Machine Learning improves bidding and targeting.
- Consultative Mindset: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in ad tech or programmatic roles with a track record of delivering client results and growing revenue. Proven track record of data storytelling—specifically the ability to interpret diverse data sets to inform strategic business decisions and marketing roadmaps.
- Strategic Leadership: Experience leading projects from start to finish, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical senior stakeholders.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Proficiency in architecting solutions that involve data integration, server-side tagging, or offline data imports.
- Holistic media expertise: A strong understanding of the broader digital advertising landscape (Social, Search, Display, etc.) and how various platforms interact within a client’s total media investment.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) for marketing data warehousing.
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) or advanced identity resolution tools.
- Familiarity with measurement methodologies like Causal Impact Analysis or Geo-experiments.
