Techwave is a leading provider of IT managed services and solutions. We are currently looking for a Business Test Analyst in Cardiff and surrounding area. This position is part of Visa’s Global Operations & Payments Network business testing team and reports to the Test Manager – Business Testing. The team is responsible for managing the testing processes for various network partner markets according to route specifications, as well as overseeing multiple client onboarding workflows into Visa/VPL environments.
Business testing/User acceptance testing must be aligned with network partner and client business requirements/route specifications to ensure VPL's business processes and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
- Contributing to and supporting the development of business test strategies and test plans for each market.
- Demonstrating strong skills in functional and business acceptance testing and collaborating effectively with other business users.
- Translating business requirements and operational workflows into business test scenarios and relevant test cases.
- Defining, documenting, and maintaining business test scenarios and test cases in collaboration with business users, business analysts, and product owners/managers.
- Executing business testing scenarios to ensure standards meet business requirements and route specifications.
- Conducting defect triage meetings with business analysts, product owners, and other relevant business users to ensure issues are resolved prior to sign-off.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to communicate their requirements and provide support during testing phases.
- Providing bespoke test completion reports upon the conclusion of testing phases.
- Participating in various stages of testing, including Network UAT, Client testing, and production testing.
- Supporting automation testing initiatives and activities when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- ISTQB/ISEB testing certified.
- At least 5 years of software testing experience within the financial services / payments industry, with a minimum of 2 years in business/UAT testing.
- Solid testing experience in cross border payments especially with SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, and Global RTP payment schemes.
- Proven experience in testing REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and ReadyAPI tools.
- Proficiency in JSON and XML message templates/formats.
- Any automation testing experience is nice to have.
- Independent and proactive worker who takes ownership of tasks, operates with minimal supervision, and uses initiatives constructively and positively.
