Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse in Sidcup. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and effective management of inventory and order production, and will work collaboratively with processing teams. This role requires high attention to detail and accuracy, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check incoming goods and materials and record discrepancies, resolving any issues with office admin.
- Prepare orders, which requires experience in complex piece picking / single order picking.
- Complete basic production functions, such as basic assembly and provisioning of connected devices.
- Provide stock control checks and regular updates to the Warehouse Manager and Quality Control Team regarding any issues or stock shortages.
- Maintain the warehouse and stores area and equipment in a tidy, orderly condition, following safety regulations and ensuring security.
- Manage courier bookings for the UK and Ireland.
- Carry out regular stock inventories and maintain high quality standards for audits.
- Manage warehouse space and locations.
- Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations, and sorting.
- Perform other related duties as required by the Warehouse/Stores Manager.
- Proven 3 years of working experience in a warehouse production role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Reliable and conscientious.
- IT literate, including MS Office, with the ability to learn new systems.
- Scanner experience is helpful.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- An excellent team player who is self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Must be based in Sidcup or the surrounding area, as this is a full-time, on-site role.
