- Summer: 10 hours per day

The Role
- Health and Safety compliant.
- Sound working knowledge of the UK’s regulations as related to the position of Transmission Line Engineer.
- Ability to work in a safe, disciplined manner.
- Undertake rigging tasks.
- Carry out blocking (dressing) or clipping-in (suspension) tasks on tension and suspension towers.
- Carry out spacering tasks.
- Safe use of a spacer trolley.
- Application of earthing schemes (add-leads) to the OHL conductors.
- Safe use of a platform/ladder/plader.
- Jointing (socks, stockings, permanent joints).
- Undertake jumping tasks.
- Carry out in-situ steel replacement tasks.
- Be able to read schematic diagrams and drawings.
- A strong team player.
- Hard-working, can-do attitude.
- Dynamic personality.
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years’ experience on high-voltage, Transmission Line projects.
Including:
(i) Experience of working at height.
(ii) Maintenance of HV Transmission Lines (110KV and above).
(iii) High Voltage OHL Tension/Stringing.
(iv) Tower assembly/erection using a Crane/Derrick ((Falcon).
Additional:
(i) Formal relevant qualifications would be desirable.
(ii) Puller/tensioner, erection or tractor winch operator experience is desirable.
(iii) A valid UK car driving license is desirable; Conversion assistance is given if required.
For international applicants:
If applying from outside the UK, candidates will need to meet the Home Office requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa, which include:
(i) Pass UKVI IELTS/Provide proof of English language proficiency.
(ii) Obtain a clear Tuberculosis test (for certain countries).
