Hourly Rate: Starting from £17.84 per hour
Contract: Part-time – 24 hours per week (12-hour shifts)

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver direct care and emotional support to older residents
  • Collaborate with senior staff to follow individual care plans

  • Maintain records in line with care regulations and procedures

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Values

  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable adults or older people
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken English)
  • Deep respect for dignity, diversity, and individual choice
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements in care settings

Qualifications & Requirements

  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to undertake – training and fees covered by Glasgow City Council)
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting
  • Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme (required at appointment – cost borne by candidate)
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Scotland)

Note: SSSC fees are currently waived under the local government pay deal.
