We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join the management team at The Laurels, our award-winning residential care home in Carlisle. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £22,000 – £30,000 per annum.
About The Laurels & Your Impact:
- A Homely Environment: You will help manage our small, homely 27-bed residential home in Carlisle, providing 24-hour support to older adults who require additional care without specialist nursing.
- Our Reputation: Our reputation is built on delivering exceptional, family-centered support. The Laurels has received a High Commendation at the 2023 UK Care Home Awards and boasts a 9.8/10 score from family reviews.
- Your Role: Your primary role is to lead a team in caring for our residents as if they were your own family, focusing on their physical, psychological, and social needs. This includes assisting with personal care, meals, and engaging activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Personal Attributes: A kind and caring individual who is passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives.
- Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in leading a team.
- A qualification in care (Level 2 or above).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Previous experience working within a care home environment is a plus, but not essential.
- Probationary bonus.

- Company-paid enhanced DBS check.
- Training: Full training is provided, with the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
