Job Description:
My client seeks a Robotic Simulation / Virtual Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding team. This role involves analysing product and process design feasibility, optimising simulations, and supporting virtual commissioning. You will create and validate robotic simulations, perform reach and access studies, and communicate with customers to ensure design and deliverables meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities for the Robotic Simulation / Virtual Commissioning Engineer:
- Build and optimise simulation cells according to customer layouts
- Conduct reach and access studies for product and process compatibility
- Perform robot selection and validate service functionality
- Setup and validate robot collision zones and safety configurations
- Create detailed paths, validate operations, and conduct virtual commissioning
- Compile documentation and support onsite commissioning activities
Desirable Experience for the Robotic Simulation / Virtual Commissioning Engineer:
- Process Simulate/Robcad BIW
- Virtual commissioning and robotic simulation standards (JLR, BMW, VOLVO, etc.)
- Experience with ABB RobotStudio, CAD Visualisation (Catia, NX)
- Scripting (Visual Basic, Python, C++)
- PLM software (Teamcenter)
