Skills Provision is seeking skilled and experienced High-Voltage Overhead Transmission Line Workers for positions throughout the United Kingdom. The employer is a leading service provider supporting the nationβs energy networks, with a strong focus on decarbonisation and progressing towards Net Zero. These roles involve "roaming" work, meaning there is no fixed location. For international candidates, visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: Β£21.97 per hour
Induction and winter training rate: Β£19.66 per hour
Stand-by period: Fixed rate starting at Β£66 per day

Working Hours:
- Standard working hours: 7:30 am β 6:00 pm
- Summer: 10-hour shifts (26 weeks)
- Winter: 9-hour shifts (26 weeks)
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk awareness: Health & Safety, hazards, working at height
- Thorough understanding of national and company regulations and standards
- Maintain safe working practices
- Perform rigging tasks
- Perform blocking (dressing) or clipping-in (suspension) on both tension and suspension Line Towers
- Undertake spacering/de-spacering tasks
- Safely use a Spacer Trolley for new and old spacers installation/removal
- Apply earthing schemes (add-leads) to OHL conductors
- Safely use platforms, ladders, or pladers for work on tension, suspension, or line towers
- Carry out jointing tasks (socks, stockings, permanent joints)
- Undertake jumpering tasks
- Perform in-situ steelwork replacement
- Read and understand tower drawings for assembly/erection tasks
- Install down leads in line with provided diagrams
- Operate effectively within a team
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' continuous experience in high-voltage overhead line transmission projects, including but not limited to:
- Working at heights of up to 75m on steel lattice towers
- Maintenance of HV transmission lines
- High Voltage OHL Tension/Stringing
- Tower assembly/erection using Crane/Derrick (Falcon)
- Relevant formal qualifications
- Experience with puller/tensioner, erection, or tractor winch operation
- Valid UK driving license or international permit (assistance with conversion available)
