The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
This position gives you the opportunity to develop the next generation of Propellers for highly efficient aeroengines. You will lead mechanical design, working on a broad range of projects, from new product introduction to manufacturing- and service support. You will drive product innovation and the continuous improvement of design processes. You will have direct access to a new state-of-the art manufacturing facility allowing short development cycles. You will lead cost-out and LEAN initiatives, working closely with Procurement and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own key design work packages across several NPI programmes and Integrated Product Teams.
- Introduce mods and amendments in support of in-service requests, ongoing production and repair operations.
- With project managers, contribute to the estimation (scope, time, cost) of assigned work packages.
- Manage requirements and specifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve system and component attributes (i.e. efficiency, noise, weight, stress, manufacturability, cost).
- Generate and release designs with supporting analyses.
