About the Role
As a Health & Care Assistant, you will work under the supervision of qualified nursing professionals to support patients with personal care, monitor health status, and carry out basic clinical tasks. This role is ideal for individuals who are nurturing, physically capable, and eager to contribute meaningfully to the UK healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Take and record patients’ vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and glucose levels
- Support patients with mobility and therapy preparation
- Assist in lifting and turning patients to prevent pressure injuries
- Maintain cleanliness by making beds and managing bedpans
- Prepare clinical equipment and ensure stock levels are maintained
- Record clinical data for review by registered nurses or doctors
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Clean medical record and background check
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred
