NHS Forth Valley is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated leader with excellent interpersonal skills to join us as a Health Records Supervisor. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing team performance and ensuring the delivery of an adaptable, high-quality Health Records Service.

The Role

As a Supervisor, you will provide essential oversight to the health records team, ensuring that all administrative functions run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead and coordinate team members, providing guidance and support to meet service goals.
  • Workload Allocation: Efficiently allocate tasks across the team and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve non-routine issues to maintain service continuity.
  • Service Efficiency: Ensure the provision of an efficient and adaptable Health Records Service in line with organizational standards.
  • Values-Led Leadership: Demonstrate a commitment to organizational values and an ongoing willingness to develop people management skills.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Previous leadership experience within a Health Records environment is essential.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of records functions and protocols.
  • Qualifications: Candidates should be working towards a recognized qualification in records management, preferably the IHRIM Certificate or Diploma.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to motivate others.
  • Compliance: The successful candidate must complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.

Important Employment Information

  • Hours Update: As of April 1, 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours. Hourly rates will increase accordingly to ensure no loss of pay.
