Job Overview
The post holder will carry out a broad range of patient care activities under the supervision of a qualified nurse, maintaining patient privacy and dignity at all times. This is a full-time role requiring a rotational shift pattern of long days and night duties, covering Sunday to Saturday, weekends, and bank holidays. Responsibilities
The post holder will carry out a broad range of patient care activities under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
Qualifications and Training
- Essential: Good general education and a willingness to undertake further training.
- Desirable: An NVQ Qualification.
Experience and Knowledge
- Essential: Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home setting, with an awareness of personal care needs and the needs of older people. An awareness of Health and Safety at work is also required.
- Desirable: Awareness of rehabilitation skills.
Skills and Abilities
- Essential: Good oral and written communication skills, an ability to work as a team, and good practical and personal care skills.
- Desirable: Basic IT Skills.
Other
- Desirable: Holding a full, valid UK driving license and having access to a car for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
