An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Rheumatology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Rheumatology team at QEQM to cover for 6-12 months maternity leave, commencing December 2024. For this post we require your enthusiasm, motivation and passion to help deliver a patient focused service, to contribute to the visions and values of our specialty and the Trust.
The band 6 post will include a training package and we would welcome applicants who have a minimum of 3 years experience preferably in chronic or autoimmune disease, with a background of excellent one to one communication with patients.

- Working autonomously whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assessing and managing a caseload of patients within the Rheumatology department. Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
- To review patients routinely, assessing disease activity, reviewing medication management, monitoring test results and administration of treatments.
- Education, counselling and support of patients, carers, relatives.
- To act as a role model of expert clinical practice.
