We are recruiting across all levels for our Certification team. Our Certification team and our DO254 engineers work across multiple projects, both civil and military providing an excellent opportunity for personal growth and development. The AEH (Airborne Electronic Hardware) Certification Engineer will lead the hardware certification efforts for certification planning as well as regulatory compliance oversight for assigned projects and products for all of Aviation Systems.
Job Description
- Work on programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basis
- Work on compliance planning and determination of means of compliance
- Support/contribution to creation of cohesive project plans
- Review of development artefacts, where applicable
- Perform certification audit pre-assessments both of internal projects and external suppliers
- Support to Customer AR/Regulatory Authority audits
- Support and collaboration with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit Findings/Actions/Observations
- Support to/participation in industry working groups
- Staff development, both within Certification and the wider engineering community, through technical guidance, coaching and mentoring of less experienced engineers
- Develop and implement training modules as necessary
Qualifications
- Experience/knowledge with ASIC, FPGA, CPLD technologies
- Experience working with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254
- Experience of demonstrating compliance to certification regulations
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge of ASIC design and fabrication (to include both the fabless and foundry aspects)
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
